My name is Mara Mills. I’ve been an instructor at Teton for about 2 years, since getting my AFAA Group Fitness Certification. Currently, I am teaching Country Heat and TRX. I’ve also taught Abs class. Before becoming an instructor, I taught Teton Kids.
I am also the Language Instructor in the College and Career Readiness program. I help students prepare for the High School Equivalency Test and help them transition into jobs, college or vocational training. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a master’s Degree in Psychology. I’ve taught students of all ages from preschoolers with autism to my current position teaching adults.
I’ve been married for 22 years to my wonderful husband Tom. i have 3 boys ages 13,11,and 7. We have a family ranch and enjoy helping with the ranch work, riding horses, and hiking. I stay busy as a mom running kids to Scout’s, basketball, baseball, football, piano, and tumbling. I grew up in Oklahoma City, but have lived in Riverton for 15 years so it feels like home now. I like to set and reach goals. Since running my first 5k in 2012, I’ve run a 10k, and a couple of half marathons, The Grand Teton Relay, and a am marathon. The friends I’ve made on my fitness journey have helped me every step of the way. That’s why I love being a part of a fitness family.
